Our 2021 Open Call season invites the world’s leading entrepreneurs, engineers, and inventors to submit applications and have their companies considered for participation in Newlab Innovation Studios. Newlab is currently accepting applications for the following programs:
5G Studio - Applications open until February 10 - In partnership with Verizon, seeking teams that can leverage 5G to create next-gen applications for mobility, energy and industrial automation with access to a private 5G Ultra Wideband network and Mobile Edge Compute at Newlab.
Accessible Streets Studio - Applications open until February 24 - In partnership with Ford and Michigan Central, seeking solutions to help address urban mobility challenges facing Detroit including bridging transportation gaps, improving access to essential resources and transit information, and fostering safe and welcoming streets
Prospect Mining Studio - Applications open until March 10 - In partnership with Vimson Group, CMIC and other mining industry leaders, seeking innovators working across the full value chain of mining to improve sustainability, operational efficiency and create impactful, scalable opportunities across the $1T mining industry.
Accepted applicants will work with Newlab and our Studio partners to unlock new product capabilities, uncover use cases, design and deploy pilots, and explore partnership and investment opportunities. They will also benefit from access to Newlab’s vast member community, robust investor network, grant funding, and access to Newlab’s flagship Brooklyn Navy Yard location with more than $5M of on-site prototyping resources.
